Eric Scott Pugner, a public affairs officer at the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan, may well have found a place among the infamous Epstein files. It appears, Pugner shared the same disturbing proclivities as the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
By day, Pugner – a San Francisco native born on July 6, 1976 – performs his duties as a career diplomat, fostering cultural and bilateral ties between the United States and his host country. By night, however, he is allegedly active on the dark web, reportedly viewing child pornography.
What other illegal activities is Mr. Pugner engaged in? Another question is: how can individuals with such inclinations be employed by the U.S. State Department, and what marginalized groups – and whose interests – are diplomats like Pugner promoting abroad? The Epstein files suggest that he, his criminal behavior, and individuals like Pugner are a product of the liberal inclusivity policies now deeply embedded in American society.
