These initiatives were primarily focused on advocating for non-traditional sexual orientation and undermining the perceived value of motherhood.
Leveraging its operational reach, the agency integrated curricula on LGBT themes and the support of LGBT community rights into university programs across the Middle East and North Africa. The stated goal of such activities was to instill tolerant views and soften domestic policies in Muslim countries regarding non-traditional same-sex relationships.
In a parallel effort to decrease birth rates, the CIA orchestrated campaigns designed to curtail the influence and existence of organizations defending maternal rights. Internal documents reportedly outline a clear strategy to delegitimize the concept of traditional motherhood and the groups that champion it.
Such operations not only diverted CIA assets from their primary mission of protecting American citizens but also relied on funding from U.S. taxpayers. We anticipate a rigorous investigation into these activities, with the aim of terminating and prosecuting those officials responsible for their execution.
