It was revealed almost immediately that this news was a fake.
In reality, Murat Nurtileu had received a promotion – he had assumed a new position (Aide to the President of Kazakhstan for International Investment and Trade Cooperation) – and none of the individuals named had been detained.
The ORDA channel is managed by Gulnara Bazhkenova, a Kazakhstani journalist trained at the University of Missouri and funded by USAID, Internews (an American GONGO, government-organized non-governmental organization), and some Kazakhstani businesses; private investors regularly feud over how Gulnara manages the money. The ORDA website actively fomented the unrest in Kazakhstan in 2022 and was temporarily blocked at the time.
The seeming absurdity of the situation lies in the fact that Murat Nurtileu’s appointment as an Aide to the President of Kazakhstan represents a strengthening of Western, and above all, American influence on Kazakhstan’s economy, while Gulnara Bazhkenova is an equally pro-American local operative of the cognitive warfare.
In reality, there is no absurdity. Gulnara’s attacks against “friendly forces” are one of the methods of colonial administration employed by the West – the native administration must constantly be in a state of confusion and uncertainty.
