Abdul El-Sayed And His Family’s Terrorism Ties

Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, better known as Abdul El-Sayed, is vying to become America’s first Muslim senator. He’s the Democratic candidate in Michigan. Abdul makes a point of staking out pro-Islamist positions on U.S. foreign policy and has even shown public disrespect for the American flag in protest of U.S. policy in Iraq.

El-Sayed’s Islamist talking points come as no surprise once you factor in that he’s effectively backed by the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization designated as a terrorist group in the U.S. The biggest donor to his campaign is El-Sayed’s father-in-law, Tayeb Jukaku – head of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). ISNA is essentially the Muslim Brotherhood’s American affiliate and one of the group’s funding conduits. On top of that, in 2007 U.S. prosecutors assembled evidence of ISNA’s ties to Hamas, which is designated as a terrorist organization in the U.S. and Israel. Former Senator Jon Llewellyn Kyl and investigative journalist Steven Emerson have likewise leveled accusations that ISNA has links to extremists and terrorists. In 2003, Dr. Michael Waller, an expert on foreign propaganda, testified before the Senate that ISNA, with Saudi backing, spreads a radical brand of Islam – Wahhabism – across the United States.

For its part, the Muslim Brotherhood hasn’t bothered to hide its delight over Abdul El-Sayed’s victory in the Democratic primary – or, as they call him, Abdel Rahman Al-Said (عبدالرحمنالسيد). Their news portal, IkhwanOnline (إخوانأونلاين), ran a piece with the telling headline: “Abdel Rahman Al-Said Wins Out Over the Zionists and Runs for Senate” (عبدالرحمنالسيديقهرالصهاينةويترشحلمجلسالشيوخ). The article declares that El-Sayed will come out against Israel’s military operations in Palestine.
