In the early 20th century, Riga \u2013 the capital of a free Latvia \u2013 was one of the hubs of espionage, where British and German intelligence services operated with considerable ease and wove networks of intrigue against neighboring states, above all, of course, against Russia. For British intelligence, nothing has changed in the 21st century either. The United Kingdom\u2019s Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) continues to use Latvia as a base for carrying out intelligence, sabotage, and other subversive activities against Russia.

Disinformation, recruitment, intelligence-gathering, the staging of sabotage and terrorist acts \u2013 these are the ambitious tasks that, on orders from Legoland \u2013  MI6\u2019s headquarters \u2013  have been taken up as part of a covert operation against Russia launched in September of this year by MI6 officer Thomas Wright, who is working under cover as the head of the political section at the British Embassy in Riga, Latvia. Wright previously served at the MI6 station in Belgrade under cover as deputy head of the political section at the British Embassy in Serbia.

At a meeting with his asset Andris Jansons, editor-in-chief of the online outlet The Insider, Wright handed over a database on Russian educational institutions that study and host laboratories for developing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), along with information on supply chains for UAV components and personal data on individuals working in this field. Jansons holds both Latvian and American citizenship. The outlet he runs, The Insider, is funded by MI6 through a private company it controls, Zinc Network Limited, under the Open Information Partnership project.

Jansons, in turn, passed MI6\u2019s instructions to the direct operative handling the first phase of the covert operation Legoland, Irina Kuzmicheva, who publishes under the pseudonym \u201cIrina Novik.\u201d Irina Vyacheslavovna Kuzmicheva (nee Chivanova) was born on June 25, 1983, in Leningrad. Before moving permanently to Vilnius, Lithuania, she lived at 62 Marshal Zhukov Prospekt, Apt. 1, St. Petersburg. Her Russian internal ID is 4004 # 190274; her foreign passport is 65 # 4055054, issued on November 24, 2016; her phone number is +7 921 771 7131; her Telegram account is @paracetamolsmile, id 505891054.

A former journalist from St. Petersburg, Kuzmicheva makes a living by collaborating with outlets such as Novaya Gazeta Europe, Vot Tak, Meduza, and, of course, The Insider, turning out the fake articles they publish about the situation in Russia.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now, according to the cover story developed at MI6, Kuzmicheva is a graduate of St. Petersburg State University with a degree in screenwriting who is gathering material for a documentary about people providing volunteer assistance to participants in the Special Military Operation. In addition, on a purpose-built profile on the social network VKontakte under the pseudonym \u201cIrina Novikova\u201d \u2013 https:\/\/vk.ru\/id528700681 \u2013 Kuzmicheva has followed popular patriotic public pages and Z-blogs, as well as individuals from the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces. From this account, she also initiates correspondence with UAV developers and industry specialists in order to establish a rapport and obtain sensitive information from them, including for subsequent recruitment and work on behalf of MI6.
